Hancock’s city council meeting was pretty routine this week, but I did enjoy the discussion about funding for UPSET West. There’s a broad range of opinions on the council, and it created a fairly nuanced discussion.

This was certainly the big story of the week. I refrained from writing much about it, as I’ve never even interviewed the man. I’ll say that he seemed like a pretty easy-going guy. One thing I regret is not getting the chance to share our mutual love for science fiction, as evidenced by his use of Star Wars and Star Trek backgrounds in public Zoom meetings.
