Gentle exercise classes are designed specifically for those who have some physical limitations. The forty-five-minute sessions are mostly chair based and focus on stretching and strengthening. Among other things, participants will learn how to minimize harm when falling, how to get out of a chair, and how to go up and down stairs.
Burack suggests that people who are uncertain about their ability to participate check with their doctor and come to observe a session.
