The Sustainability Film & Discussion Series will present the film “Climate Sisu” at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 18, in Fisher 135 on Michigan Tech’s campus. Everyone is welcome to attend. Films are free. A suggested $5 donation is appreciated.

The film will be followed by a discussion facilitated by Patricia Leopold, Climate Adaptation Specialist with the Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science. Refreshments are provided by Keweenaw Land Trust. 

This 55-minute film takes the viewer on a journey through Michigan in search of community knowledge about climate action, resilience, adaptation, and education. The documentary features a variety of solutions ranging from planting new grape varietals in vineyards to expanding passenger train service to northwest Michigan to adapting city planning in the Upper Peninsula to prepare for environmental shifts.
